Meet The Team
Dentist
Kusum Chawla
Kusum is the Dentist and owner of the practice. She has been working as a dentist for over 15 years, in both NHS and Private dental practices. She has a wide knowledge of general dentistry and in the last 5 years a growing knowledge of cosmetic dentistry.
After qualifying in 2003 and moving from India to the UK with her family, she completed her registration exams (in 2006) and began her career. In October 2019 she opened Health and Smile. With the support of the dental team, her family and the community, the practice was able to make it through the lockdown; during which Kusum made home visits to patients in need. The lockdown also allowed her to gain training on implant therapy and clear aligners, while also being able to spend time with her husband, two girls and puppy.
Kusum has a passion to help patients old and new, and would like to spend more time in the community- treating and educating children and those who may not have access to dental care.
Dental Hygienist
Hannah Radigan

Hannah recently joined the practice as a Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Teeside University with a bachelors in Dental Hygiene in 2024.

Jayde Williams
Dental Nurse

Jayde began nursing in a busy NHS practice in 2002 gaining a NVQ Level 3 in dental nursing over 18 years ago.
Jayde is a very competent member of the team and is well respected and enjoys new challengers. Jayde has experience in all aspects of dentistry including cosmetic endodontics.
Outside of work Jayde enjoys socializing with friends and spending time with family and their dogs.
Elyssa Devon
Dental Nurse
GDC number: 314463
Elyssa joined the practice as an apprentice dental nurse and fully qualified early in 2024. Previously she had studied at Durham University and is excited to start a new chapter of her life.
In her spare time she enjoys watching movies and playing with her cats.
Josie Rodgers
Josie recently joined the team as a trainee. Alongside her training in the practice, she attends Middlesbrough college to complete her Level 3 NVQ.
